Rules & mechanics
WCB is a parimutuel betting market — you bet against other bettors, not against a house line. The biggest pool wins — that's the whole game.
01
The bet
Bet SOL on the country you think will have the hottest viral fan / honey shot at the FIFA World Cup 2026. Two markets:
- Baddie of the Day — one market per matchday, sides are the countries playing that day. Settles at the end of the matchday.
- Miss World Cup — single market with all 48 countries. Settles at the end of the tournament.
02
How settlement works
At the lock time the pools freeze, and the backend computes the winner: the side with the biggest pool wins —
argmax(side_totals). If two or more sides are exactly tied for the max, the lowest-numbered side wins — a tie never voids a market. The team reviews the computed settlement and then releases payouts.03
Payouts
Winners get their stake back plus a pro-rata share of the losing pool, minus a 10% rake on the losing pool only.Your principal is never taxed if you win — only losing-side stakes contribute to the rake. Payouts are pushed to winners' wallets by the team after settlement review — there is no claim step and nothing to sign to get paid.

04
Refund conditions
- Only one side has bets at lock — no counterparty, so every stake is refunded in full (no rake, no jackpot contribution).
- Zero bets — the market closes with no winner and nothing to pay.
- Voided markets — if a market has to be voided (e.g. a matchday is cancelled), every stake is refunded in full.
05
Jackpot
Every 1 SOL bet anywhere earns 1 jackpot ticket (weighted by the exact lamports you bet). 5% of every losing pool flows into a single jackpot vault. A single winner is drawn after the WC final — the exact draw procedure is published before the draw. See the jackpot page for live odds.
06
Custody & trust
Bets are SOL transfers to the WCB pool wallet, which is operated by the team: the pool wallet custodies stakes between lock and payout. Settlement is computed by the backend and payouts are pushed from the pool wallet — so you are trusting the team to hold funds and pay out honestly. What keeps it checkable: every bet and payout is a public on-chain SOL transfer you can verify on any Solana explorer. The website never asks for your keys; the only thing you ever sign is your own bet transfer.
